What support does an end of life doula offer?
We offer non-medical palliative support for all aspects of the end-of-life journey. We can assist with: Advanced Care Planning and end-of-life discussions; holistic support for loved ones and their dying person throughout the transition; bedside vigiling to ensure consistent companionship if desired; referral to community resources; grief support and coaching.
who should contact the doula for support?
We can be contacted by folks facing their end-of-life transition who wish to have clarity, support and companionship for themselves or their loved ones. Alternatively, our services can be accessed by loved ones and caregivers seeking help, guidance and care for themselves and their dying person.
where can your services be accessed?
We are based in Vancouver, BC but can provide services virtually around the province. If travel outside of Vancouver is necessary, there may be additional charges to cover costs.
when should i contact a doula?
We can begin our work together at any point in the end of life journey: before or after receiving a life-limiting diagnosis; when considering or planning for a medically assisted death provision; if loved ones require support at any stage; when bedside vigiling is desired; after a loved one’s passing.
how much do services cost?
Every relationship begins with a free, 30 minute phone consultation to asses suitable fit for all parties.
Our hourly rate is $85+GST. We offer packages if multiple services are desired. These packages offer savings on the hourly rate. Please see the services page for more information.
