Caroline Derksen End of Life Doula, Grief Support Practitioner, Early Childhood Educator
Hi, I’m caroline.
My lifelong professional journey has centered around helping people. For 25 years I dedicated my time to guiding children and families on their educational path. With compassion and care, I supported them to build skills necessary for growth and learning. During the next phase of my career I am applying these skills to walk alongside folks on their end of life journey.
With a heart for listening and a gentle presence I provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to ensure that each person’s unique wishes are honoured in the transition phase of their life. Drawing on training in holistic care and grief support, I help create meaningful experiences—from legacy projects and guided conversations to comfort-focused rituals—that encourage peace and connection.
I believe that death is not only an ending but also a sacred transition that deserves to be honoured. I support loved ones and their dying folks in finding clarity, acceptance, and moments of grace during this tender time.
If I’m going to die, the best way to prepare is to quiet my mind and open my heart.
If I’m going to live, the best way to prepare is to quiet my mind and open my heart.
